'The Prom's' Caitlin Kinnunen Reveals What She Learns From Fellow Castmates

"It's Time To Dance!" The Prom's Caitlin Kinnunen is nominated for the Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical!

Michael Riedel chatted with Kinnunen following the news of her Tony Award nomination about the experience of bringing The Prom to Broadway and lessons learned her fellow cast mates;

"The greatest thing I have learned from them is fearlessness. They are all so sure of themselves and so confident and brave on stage and also the kindest human beings you will ever meet. Being on stage with them is both a nightmare and the greatest gift. I get concerned of what is going to happen each night, but it always turns out well!"

In addition to Kinnunen's Tony nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical, The Prom is also nominated for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written for the Theatre, and Best Direction of a Musical. Kinnunen's other castmates, Brooks Ashmanskas and Beth Leavel are nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical and Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical respectively.

The Prom is taking Broadway by storm! Due to the high popularity, the musical is set for a Netflix adaptation coming in 2020 and a young adult novel adaptation coming this September.
