The Prom has seven Tony Award nominations for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written for the Theatre, and Best Direction of a Musical. Cast members Brooks Ashmanskas, Caitlin Kinnunen and Beth Leavel are nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical and Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical respectively.
The Prom is taking Broadway by storm! Due to high popularity, the musical is set for a Netflix adaptation coming in 2020 and a young adult novel adaptation coming this September.
