From high school to Broadway, Andrew Barth Feldman , 16, makes history as he steps onto the stage as Evan Hansen January 30, 2019 in the Tony Award- Winning Best Musical, Dear Evan Hansen .

If you were a high school theater fanatic like Sam Rosalie of Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, Feldman is living out your wildest dreams! Currently a high school junior at Lawrence Woodmere Academy in Woodmere, New York, Feldman won the Best Actor Award at the 2018 National High School Musical Theatre Awards more commonly known as the Jimmy Awards . Feldman is inspiring teens everywhere to shoot for the moon, as he makes his Broadway debut.

During his interview with Rosalie, Feldman talked about what he is most excited about bringing to Evan, “I’m not 10 years from now having to say, what did I think about this when I was a teenager? I am a teenager. I understand every interaction and the nuance of all the feelings that he has in a way that is right now and that’s what I’m really really excited to give to him.” We can’t wait to watch Feldman “Wave Through A Window” from the Music Box Theatre stage.

Later, Sam and Andrew discuss his theater company he founded at the age of 12 and more in the full interview above.
