The Broadway League is celebrating 10 years of the Jimmy Awards with a special reunion concert! The event is set to be live-streamed on Facebook beginning at 7:30pm ET on Monday, January 14 with special guest appearance from Frozen star Patti Murin.
Alumni currently scheduled to appear include Erica Durham (The Color Purple national tour), Andrew Barth Feldman (Dear Evan Hansen), Marla Louissaint (Beautiful national tour), Ryan McCartan (Heathers The Musical, Wicked), Nathan Salstone (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), and Josh Strobl (Dear Evan Hansen).
The Jimmy Awards were named after the late James M. Nederlander, an acclaimed Broadway theater owner and producer. The National High School Musical Theatre Awards (the Jimmy Awards) are a national celebration of outstanding student achievement, recognizing individual artistry in vocal, dance, and acting performance and elevating the importance of theatre arts education in schools. The Jimmy Awards are presented by The Broadway League Foundation.
The 11th annual Jimmy Awards will take place Monday, June 24 at 7:30 PM at the Minskoff Theatre. Tickets will be sold later this year.
