'The Prom' Netflix Film Adaptation Shuts Down Production Over Coronavirus

"The Laundromat" Red Carpet Arrivals - The 76th Venice Film Festival

Ryan Murphy's film adaptation of The Prom has shut down production due to the Coronavirus.

The Prom has been filming and was set to be wrapped in the next few days. However, according to Deadline, permits were pulled from an on-location Los Angeles school that has closed its doors due to coronavirus worries.

The film stars Jo Ellen Pellman, Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman, Kerry Washington, Keegan-Michael Key, Andrew Rannells, Ariana DeBose, Logan Riley Hassel, Sofia Deler, Nico Greetham, and Nathaniel J. Potvin.

Work is planned to resume in mid-April, but that could change depending on the way COVID-19 spreads in the coming weeks.
