The Broadway League and the The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) have announced that on November 5th, 2019 the eleventh annual Broadway Salutes ceremony will take place. The event will start at 3:30 PM with arrivals and pinning and the reception will begin at 4:00 PM at Sardi’s Restaurant (234 West 44th St).
Tony award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell will be hosting the ceremony. He has recently been seen on Broadway in Shuffle Along, Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed. Previous to this show he was in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown; Man of La Mancha; King Hedley II; Kiss Me, Kate; Ragtime; Kiss of the Spider Woman; Jelly’s Last Jam; and more. The program is directed by Marc Bruni. Commissioner of the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, Anne del Castillo, will also be in attendance.
Honorees names will scroll on the electronic zipper in Shubert Alley, during the ceremony beginning at 3:45 PM until 5:00 PM.
