Kelli O’Hara and More Take Part In 2019 Easter Bonnet Competition

Broadway Cares / Equity Fights Aids' 33rd Annual Easter Bonnet Competition takes place next week, April 22nd and 23rd, at the Miskoff Theatre (home of The Lion King) and has a whole slew of stars that will be contributing to the event. Many shows are scheduled to present songs, skits, or dances in handcrafted bonnets!

Those shows include Aladdin, Avenue, Q, Be More Chill, The Cher Show, Frozen, Network, and more. A special Bonnet Parade will include bonnets from Kiss Me, Kate. Waitress, Wicked, and the national tour of Hello, Dolly!, as well as Broadway Cares affiliate organizations Broadway Green Alliance, Broadway Serves, and R.Evolución Latina.

The Easter Bonnet Competition is the culmination of six weeks of fundraising by Broadway, Off-Broadway, and national touring companies. Winners of top fundraiser, best presentation, and best bonnet design, as well as the spring fundraising total, will be announced April 23 by Bryan Cranston (Network), Jeff Daniels (To Kill a Mockingbird), Glenda Jackson (King Lear), and Kelli O’Hara (Kiss Me, Kate). A limited number of tickets are available for this show. They start at $30 and you can get ticket information at BroadwayCares.org.
