Jana Kramer teased her newest Lifetime romance-drama directed by Haylie Duff.
Kramer appeared on Good Morning America on Wednesday (May 27), where she spoke about Where the Heart Lands. Kramer stars as a horse trainer, whose âworld is upended when a handsome LA lawyer inherits her stable,â the filmâs description reads. âTo stop him from selling, she and the locals drag him into the excitement of horse racing, finding love along the way.â Duff wrote Where the Heart Lands with Scotty Mullen and David Stever. Kramer stars in it alongside Tyler Johnson, John Schneider and others.
âWe filmed it in Kentucky, which was lovely because I was close to home,â Kramer, who lives in Nashville, Tennessee, said on GMA. âIâm a horse trainer, so being a female horse trainer is very hard and thereâs a lot of stakes and thereâs a man that inherits the horses and the land where I work. So, he might find love. âŚWho knows? You got to find out.â
The Whine Down with Jana Kramer podcast host shared that she took lessons riding horses when she was about 12 years old. Oftentimes in movies, horses âare familiar being on set,â she said; however, the horses in Where the Heart Lands âjust raced Keeneland like the week before.â She credited the movieâs âamazing trainer, Gina,â and explained that horses âpick up on your energy,â so it was import to remain calm while working with them.
An emotional sneak peek played on Good Morning America. Kramer, tearful in the scene, said she often called Duff for directing advice on another one of her upcoming projects. Kramer is making her directorial debut with Love Song for My Texas Ranger, which recently wrapped in San Antonio, Texas. Kramer said âit was an incredible experience. âŚI got to sing, direct (and) act,â in the project, which does not have a premiere date as of publication time on Thursday (May 28).
Where the Heart Lands is set to premiere on Lifetime at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on Saturday (May 30).
