Mary Testa And James Davis Discuss Backlash From 'Oklahoma!'

Oklahoma's Mary Testa (Aunt Eller) and James Davis (Will Parker) chat with Michael Riedel and Christine Nagy during this week's Inside Broadway podcast on the backlash and audience reaction from Oklahoma! and more.

Mary says, "Well you know, we have an autograph line after the show and a lot of people go on the autograph line and I'm finding that the majority of people who see this are very moved, very shook, they don't my favorite thing to hear is 'I don't know what to feel right now' as a lot of people say or they say 'oh my god I've got so much to think,' about that to me is a brilliant success if you if you go to the theater and you're moved and you're and you are questioning things I think then it's a huge success I'm happy to hear that. I'm sure there are people who think it's trash as a matter of fact I think Oscar Hammerstein's grandson just called it a 'travesty.' I'm sure there are people who feel that way and that's great because that's all what art is all about."
