Matt Doyle To Play Jay Gatsby In 'The Great Gatsby' In Korea

Tony Award winner Matt Doyle is embarking on a thrilling new chapter in Korea, beginning with a heartfelt sendoff at one of New York City’s most iconic venues.

Say Bon Voyage to Matt Doyle at the The Beechman May 17, May 18, and June 6. The concert series will feature songs and stories from Matt Doyle’s incredible Broadway career and maybe even a few special guests!

The Beechman concerts serve as a bittersweet farewell for Doyle’s U.S. fans before he jets off to Korea for a major international opportunity. This summer, he will take on the role of Jay Gatsby in the Korean premiere of The Great Gatsby: A New Musical at Seoul’s GS Arts Center. The production runs from August 1 to November 9, 2025, and features a cast that includes Senzel Ahmady as Daisy Buchanan and Gerald Caesar as Nick Carraway.

Doyle’s career continues to expand in exciting directions. Best known for his Tony-winning turn as Jamie in the 2021 Broadway revival of Company, his résumé includes standout performances in Spring Awakening, Bye Bye Birdie, War Horse, and The Book of Mormon.
