Steve Carell Set To Make Broadway Debut As 'Uncle Vanya'

Lincoln Center Theater has announced the principal cast for their revival of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya. The new translation by Tony nominee Heidi Schreck will begin previews April 2, 2024, with an opening night set for April 24 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.

Steve Carell will make his Broadway debut in the title role of the Chekhov classic. The cast will also include Tony nominee Alison Pill will star as Vanya's niece Sonya, Emmy nominee William Jackson Harper as Astrov, Tony winner Jayne Houdyshell as Mama Voinitski, Mia Katigbak as Marina, three-time Tony nominee Alfred Molina as Alexander Serabryakov, and Tony winner Anika Noni Rose as Yelena.

Uncle Vanya will have direction by Lila Neugebauer, scenic design by Mimi Lien, costumes by Kaye Voyce, lighting by Lap Chi Chu, and sound by Mikhail Fiksel and Beth Lake, and Charles M. Turner III will be the stage manager.
