Courtney Reed To Join The Broadway Cast Of 'Moulin Rouge!' August 1st

The Tony Award®-winning Best Musical Moulin Rouge! The Musical will welcome Courtney Reed (Disney's Aladdin) who returns to Broadway in the role of Satine, having originated the role in the First National Tour, beginning Tuesday, August 1 at Broadway’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th St, NYC). Additional casting will be announced soon.

As previously announced, Joanna “JoJo” Levesque and Derek Klena will play their final performance as Satine and Christian, respectively, on Sunday, July 30. Tickets are now on sale through February 25, 2024. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.MoulinRougeMusical.com.  

Courtney Reed joins the Broadway company directly from the Moulin Rouge! The Musical First National Tour, where she originated the role of Satine. She is best known for originating the role of Princess Jasmine in the Broadway company of Disney’s Aladdin, for which she received a Grammy nomination. She was last seen in Lauren Yee’s award-winning play Cambodian Rock Band at Signature Theatre. She made her Broadway debut in Mamma Mia! and also had the honor of being a part of the closing company of In the Heights as Carla. Her TV credits include “Liza on Demand,” “Search Party,” “The Affair,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “White Collar,” “NYC 22,” “CSI: NY.”
