Kevin Cahoon Talks 'Shucked', Cut Jokes And Bringing The Show To Broadway

Recently Kevin Cahoon joined iHeartRadio Broadway to chat about working on Shucked which is currently playing at the Nederlander Theatre. Kevin, who is one of the only cast members to work on Shucked since inception, chats about what it's like having Tony Award winner Robert Horn write jokes just for you and trying to keep a straight face while working with Andrew Durand. Kevin also takes part in our ongoing series 'Spilling the Tea with iHeartRadio Broadway' and has a few interesting answers to our challenge.

Shucked features a book by Tony Award winner Robert Horn and a score by the Nashville songwriting team of Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally, who collectively have earned three Grammy Awards and 18 Grammy nominations. The production is directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien with choreography by Sarah O’Gleby, and music supervision, music direction, orchestrations, and arrangements by Tony Award nominee Jason Howland.

Shucked features: Grey Henson, Ashley D. Kelley, John Behlmann, Kevin Cahoon, Andrew Durand, Caroline Innerbichler, and Alex Newell. The ensemble of Shucked includes: Jimmy Brewer, Audrey Cardwell, Dwayne Clark, Rheaume Crenshaw, Jaygee Macapugay, Scott Stangland, Yasmeen Sulieman, and Quinn VanAntwerp. The swings are Miki Abraham, Ken Clark, Traci Elaine Lee, and Alan Wiggins.
