Oscar and Five-time Grammy-winning recording artist H.E.R will star as Belle in the upcoming Disney and ABC Live Beauty and the Beast 30th Anniversary special according to reports rom The Hollywood Reporter. The live adaptation of Beauty and the Beast will premiere on ABC on December 15th and stream on Disney+ the following day. In The Heights director Jon M. Chu will serve as executive producer with Hamish Hamilton directing. During casting and details are set to be announced soon.
