This Friday, January 21st at 5pm EST, Come From Away star Sharon Wheatley joins the Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts' weekly online virtual sing-along, Sip & Sing. Sharon Wheatley originated the role of Diane in Come From Away, also appearing in the Apple TV+ film version and on the original cast recording. She has previously been seen on Broadway in Avenue Q, Les Misérables, Cats and The Phantom of the Opera. Also a writer, her debut book ’Til The Fat Girl Sings is available on www.sharonwheatley.com and Amazon and she is gearing up to release her new book Drive: Stories From Somewhere in the Middle of Nowhere on March 1, 2022, which follows Sharon and her family on a cross-country adventure during the Broadway shutdown.
The virtual event is now available for live streaming on iHeartRadioBroadway.com and the iHeartRadio Broadway YouTube Channel. The weekly sing-along series takes place via Zoom on Fridays at 5 p.m. EST and is hosted by Broadway star Kyle Barisich, alongside a different star of the Broadway and Bay Street stage each week. The program is free to attend, and advanced registration is required. Sip & Sing is presented in partnership with Bay Street Theatre and Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos’ Milojo Productions.
