'Moulin Rouge!' Celebrates NYC's First Responders & Essential Workers

Before Moulin Rouge! The Musical had their amazing ten Tony Award winning night, they held their final dress rehearsal at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on Thursday, September 23rd. As a special celebration for the final invited dress rehearsal, Producers for the show invited 450 first responders, essential workers and teachers from the New York City area to see Moulin Rouge! The Musical for free to say thank you for everything they have done for our community during the past 18 months with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Before the dress rehearsal started, the Tony Awarding winning team of Alex Timbers (Director), Sonya Tayeh (Choreographer) and Producer Bill Damaschke welcomed the first audience back to the theatre with a special message of thanks to our front line workers. Watch in the video player above.
