Pulitzer Prize For Drama Goes To Katori Hall's ‘The Hot Wing King’

Playwright Katori Hall has won this year's Pulitzer Prize for Drama, for her play The Hot Wing King.

This year's rules allowed full-length dramatic works that had scheduled premieres postponed or canceled—as well as shows that premiered virtually or outside—to be considered eligible. In February 2021, The Hot Wing King made a world premiere at Off-Broadway's Signature Theatre.

Zora Howard's Stew and Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley's Circle Jerk were finalists in the category as well.
