'Broadway's Best: The Music of Stephen Schwartz' Premieres This Saturday

This Saturday, iHeartRadio Broadway will present the next installment of our Broadway's Best series where we highlight the life and work of prolific Broadway composers and creators. Saturday's Broadway's Best will feature the life and work of Stephen Schwartz. During the program, hosted by Howard Hoffman, listeners will not only hear the remarkable work of Stephen Schwartz, but will also hear personal stories and memories by Schwartz, Alan Menken and Wicked librettist Winnie Holzman. There will be some hard-to-find recordings, including a version of his very first Broadway song, “Butterflies Are Free,” which he wrote, produced and arranged. We’ll follow his relentless career and hear the nearly impossible story of the making of Wicked.
