To celebrate Black History Month, Tony nominee Daniel J. Watts penned a poem called "The Gatherers", which pays tribute to the essential workers both onstage and off. Watts wrote the poem days after theatres across the country went dark amid the pandemic and the renewed call for racial justice. Almost a year after the Broadway shutdown, the cast of Tina: The Tina Turner Musical reunited virtually to record Watt's poem.
