Musical theatre composer Daniel J. Mertzlufft recently sat down with iHeartRadio Broadway's SJ Arnegger to talk about his new notoriety due to his TikTok musical creations like The Grocery Store Musical and Ratatouille The Musical. Daniel has been creating various TikTok musicals for the better part of a year and after his Grocery Store Musical went viral, The Late Late Show with James Corden called to work on a potential collaboration for Thanksgiving. With that, Thanksgiving: The TikTok Musical was born. While Daniel thought the new musical would feature The Late Late Show staff, James Corden surprised viewers (and Daniel) by featuring stars like Patti Lupone, Kristen Chenoweth, Josh Gad, Audra McDonald, Josh Groban and James himself joining forces for the now viral hit. Watch the video below.
What viewers may not know is that Daniel has been apart of the Broadway industry for awhile now and has helped create and support Theatre Education around the world. His TYA musicals have been seen around the country and you can learn more about Daniel by following him on various social platforms (besides TikTok) and his website site.
