The album, produced by Scratch 17, is an Orlando, Florida based record label and publishing company created by artists for artists.
Michael James Scott recently sat down with iHeartRadio Broadway's SJ Arnegger to talk about why now was the right time to record an album, what challenges he and his producers faced recording during COVID-19 and what inspired him to make his first studio album a Christmas album.
Michael James Scott on why now was the right time for A Fierce Christmas: "Out of this crazy time, this racial awakening, fighting for equality and all of the conversations that have been happening during a pandemic in our country and that intensity that we've had, the divisiveness that has been going on...it's been intense to say the least. I want to do an album that was my protest and my protest is joy. That's what I wanted to do."
