This year The Today Show's Annual Halloween Reveal celebrated the "Best of Broadway" and the beating heart of New York City. Each of the Anchors channeled their favorite Broadway Characters with Carson Daly serving as the host for the reveal. The lineup began with Dylan Dreyer and Sheinelle Jones as the murderous duo Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart from Chicago. Next up, Craig Melvin and Al Roker paid tribute to their own favorite musical Hamilton with Melvin as Alexander Hamilton and Roker taking on royalty with King George. Jenna Bush Hager took on the iconic Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Cats by channeling Grizabella and her take on "Memory". Last but not least Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb made the popular choice of Glinda and Elphaba from Wicked.
During the "Behind the Scenes" video package, various Broadway stars came on aboard to give each of the Anchors advice on how to bring their best for the performance this morning. These stars included: Christopher Jackson, Idina Menzel, and Rita Wilson. Some of the costumes used for The Today Show reveal were from the various Broadway productions.
The Today Show Halloween reveal culminated with the Anchors talking about how to support Broadway right now with the shut down due to COVID-19.
