Exclusive: The Skivvies Announce New Music Video And Digital Album

In antici...pation for their new album The Rocky Horror Skivvies Show, The Skivvies (Lauren Molina and Nicky Cearley) have released a new music video for the single Super Hero. The music video, directed by Michael Kushner, features Molina, Cearley and Rob Morrison as superheroes trying to win the battle for 2020. Watch the exclusive premiere of the video below.

According to the official press release: The music video shares that superheroes alone can't even win the battle that is 2020. It starts with your actions, your choices, and your mobilization to make sure we don't relive the past four years over again.

The Rocky Horror Skivvies Show album will be released during last week of October and was born out of The Skivvies critically acclaimed concert of the same name. The concert was booked on a national tour (originally debuting at Joe's Pub in 2018) but because of COVID-19 all shows for 2020 were canceled. In response to the cancelation, The Skivvies launched an "UndieGogo" fundraiser and in just three days fans from all over the world contributed to the fund that helped support the creation of their soon to be released album. Cearley and Molina recently joined SJ Arnegger (Director, iHeartRadio Broadway) to talk about the creation of the new album, what it was like to film a music video in Times Square during the shut down and creating music during a pandemic.

In addition to Cearley and Molina (playing Brad and Janet), other special guests on the album include: Nick Adams, Christina Bianco, Brittany Alexandra Campbell, Michael Cerveris, Alison Fraser, Nathan Lee Graham, Diana Huey, Travis Kent, Tamika Sonja Lawrence, Rob Morrison, Alice Ripley, Krysta Rodriguez, Marissa Rosen and Will Swenson.

Rounding out the album, the band features: Andrew Gutauskas (Reeds and Brass), Joshua Roberts (drums), Rob Morrison (guitars), Eric Shorey (keys) Debbie Christine Tjong (bass), Nick Cearley (Ukulele, Banjolele, Kazoo), and Lauren Molina (Cello, Electric Cello, and Kazoo).

The Rocky Horror Skivvies Show will be available on all streaming music services and especially iHeartRadio.
