PBS Announces Fall 'Broadway Best' Series Lineup

PBS has announced the line up for the fourth annual Broadway Best Series which will air this November. The Broadway Best Series will kick off on Friday November 6th and run through November 27th. Up first PBS will air James Corden's Tony Award-winning performance in One Man, Two Guvnors. The play by Richard Bean is comedic farce that tells the story of out of work musician Francis Henshall (Corden) as he becomes the bodyguard for Roscoe Crabbe.

Up next on Friday, November 13th, PBS will air Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles. This 2019 documentary details the history and cultural significance of Fiddler on the Roof and includes stories from Composer and Lyricist Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, Harvey Firestein, Danny Bernstein, Lin-Manual Miranda, Joel Grey and more.

The series continues with Iriving Berlin's Holiday Inn on Friday, November 20th. The 2016 Tony nominated Roundabout Theatre Company production was directed by Gordon Greenberg, featured chorography by Denis Jones. The company includes: Bryce Pinkham, Lora Lee Gayer, Megan Lawrence, Danny Rutigliano, Megan Sikora and Corbin Bleu.

Closing out the series will be the world premiere of Great Performances: Lea Salonga in Concert on November 27th. The concert was filmed at the Sydney Opera House with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and features songs that Salonga made famous throughout her illustrious career from such shows as Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Once On This Island and from the animated movies Aladdin and Mulan.
