Matthew López To Join Broadway For Biden For Upcoming LGBTQIA+ Events

Broadway for Biden has announced that celebrated playwright Matthew López will host two events aimed at engaging the LGBTQIA+ community in the 2020 national election. The first event will be on Monday, September 28, López will host Broadway for Biden’s weekly phone banking initiative, that will feature cast members from the Broadway company of his award-winning play The Inheritance, including Jonathan Burke, Tony Goldwyn, and Lois Smith. López and The Inheritance cast will discuss their personal interests in the election and share insights into the Biden-Harris platform’s agenda on LGBTQIA+ issues. The virtual phone banking event will take place from 7:00 – 9:00pm EST. Participation is free, and registration is available via Instagram @broadwayforbiden and via BroadwayforBiden.com.

The second event will take place on Saturday, October 3, López will host a Town Hall for Broadway for Biden featuring members of the Broadway community discussing the Biden campaign’s policies for the LGBTQIA+ community.
