Tony Award Winners Join Together To Help #Theatre5Alliance

A brand new theatre collective called #Theatre5Alliance has gotten some help from some big Broadway names. Those names bring Tony Award winning power with them as well. They've asked over two dozen performers to create short vignettes to support regional American theatres.

This lineup will include Andre De Shields, Judith Light, Laurie Metcalf, Priscilla Lopez, John Lithgow, Bryan Cranston, Tony Shalhoub Judd Hirsch, John Larroquette, Hal Linden, and Joe Mantegna. There will be additional performances from Kim Brockington, Bruce Davidson, Stacy Keach, Dan Lauria, Jodi Long, Wendie Malick, Carolyn McCormick, Patty McCormack,Alfred Molina, Ed O’Neill, Lou Diamond Phillips, James Pickens Jr, Stephen Root, Charles Shaughnessy,Peter Scolari, Joe Spano, Chris Sullivan, Reno Wilson, Henry Winkler, and Robert Wuhl.

The #Theatre5Alliance is made up of five theatres from around the United States. It includes the Berkshire Playwrights Lab, Durango PlayFest, Laguna Playhouse, New Jersey Repertory, and Seven Angels Theatre. Their goal is have performers record and perform pieces they've written in order to keep live theatre alive. It was the brainchild of Dan Lauria who said;

I wanted to raise awareness of the plight of these organizations while celebrating how actors are keeping their creative juices flowing.
