Sara Bareilles is staying busy. The singer, songwriter, and actress has gone from the recording studio to the Broadway stage and will now move over to the small screen. She's going to be staring in an all new comedy from Tina Fey on the NBC streaming service, Peacock.
In the new show Bareilles will be playing Dawn, a member of a one-hit-wonder singing group called Girls5eva, which is also the name of the show. They're going to take another shot at stardom.
From the official synopsis:
Girls5eva centers on the members of a 1990s girl group. When their one hit gets sampled by a young rapper, they reunite to give their pop star dreams one more shot. They may be grown women balancing spouses, kids, jobs, debt, aging parents and shoulder pain, but can't they also be Girls5eva?
