Broadway Animal Trainer William Berloni Talks Career And Pet Adoption

Celebrated Broadway animal trainer William Berloni joins the Show & Tell with Frank DiLella podcast to chat about his career and how it all began with the original production of Annie. DiLella and Berloni talk about what happens to animals after a Broadway show closes and how he finds the animals for certain shows.

Berloni on shelter animals: "All the animals I use, I get from animal shelters. I was looking for the original Sandy, I went to an animal shelter because they said there were cheap dogs there and I had never been to one. As a young man I was profoundly moved. I never know dogs were disposable and that they had expiration dates. So I made a promise to myself if I ever got a dog I would rescue it. So as a result of that all the animals we have trained have been rescues."

Frank and Berloni also talk about the importance of pet adoption and go through tips for new pet owners.
