Sophia Anne Caruso has departed Broadway's Beetlejuice.
She played her final performance on Thursday, February 19, according to Playbill, after deciding to exercise her contractual out to pursue television work. The production has confirmed Presley Ryan, the role's understudy, will takeover as Lydia Deetz. Ryan took to Instagram to express her enthusiasm: "This is truly a dream come true!"
Beetlejuice opened on Broadway on April 25, 2019 and continues at the Winter Garden Theatre through June 6.
