Just announced today, February 5th, 2020, Ben Platt will be performing at the GLADD Media Awards in New York. The awards will take place on March 19th, 2020 at the Hilton Midtown.
They also announced that The Daily Show's Jaboukie Young-White will be a special guest, along with the cast of Pose, and Schitt's Creek star Emily Hampshire will also be attending the ceremony.
It was previously announced that Lilly Singh will host the awards show and actress Judith Light will receive the Excellence in Media Award, while producer, screenwriter, and director Ryan Murphy will be honored with the Vito Russo Award.
Performer Ben Platt just released his debut album, Sing To Me Instead in March of 2019. He performed the album to a sold out Radio City Music Hall, which was filmed for an upcoming Netflix special due out in Spring of 2020.
The 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards honor media for fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues. The 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards are presented by Delta, Gilead, Hyundai, and Ketel One Family-Made Vodka. GLAAD previously announced over 175 nominees in 30 categories. Taylor Swift will receive the Vanguard Award and Janet Mock will receive the Stephen F. Kolzak Award at the 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 16th.
