Husband and wife composer duo Robert (Bobby) Lopez and Kristen Anderson Lopez will be honored at The New York Pops 37th birthday gala on April 27, 2020 at 7:00 pm at Carnegie Hall.
The concert will feature works written by the the pair as well as with other collaborators performed by The New York Pops under the musical direction of Steven Reineke. The Lopez musical resume includes writing songs for Disney's Frozen for which they won an Academy Award and Grammy Award as well as Pixar's Coco which earned them a second Academy Award. Other major projects include the Broadway adaptation of Frozen and the upcoming motion picture Frozen 2. Their works with additional collaborators include the hit Broadway musicals Avenue Q, The Book of Mormon, and In Transit.
