PUFFS Set to Close in New York City in August

Since 2016 people have been heading off-Broadway to see the hit comedy, PUFFS Or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic. Now that incredible run is over after over 750 performances in New York City.

PUFFS announced on Thursday that the final performance will be Sunday August 18th at New World Stages.

However this is not the end for PUFFS. It will return to Australia where performances begin in Brisbane on August 23, 2019. Last year the show made history after debuting in Melbourne, and became the cities longest running play of the last 100 years. PUFFS popularity overseas has exploded.

Those of you unfamiliar with the story of PUFFS, here is the synopsis:

For seven years a certain boy wizard went to Wizard School. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of The Puffs… who just happened to be there too. Thisis a play for anyone who has never been destined to save the world. Puffs, or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic is a Potter inspired comedy for anyone who has ever felt like a secondary character in someone else’s story. The play gives you a new look at a familiar adventure from the perspective of three new heroes just trying to make it through magic school.
