'Mean Girls' On Broadway Announces Actresses Launching First National Tour

Mean Girls the musical, produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, Sonia Friedman and Paramount Pictures, has announced the actresses who will launch the First National Tour as "The Plastics." Singer/songwriter, Mariah Rose Faith will lead the plastic trio as Regina George alongside Wicked national tour alum, Megan Masako Haley as the daughter of the inventor of Toaster Strudel, Gretchen Wieners and Mean Girls original Broadway ensemble member, Jonalyn Saxer stepping into the role of Karen Smith.

Mean Girls, featuring a book by Emmy Award winning Tina Fey, opened on Broadway in April of 2018 to incredible reviews at the August Wilson Theatre, where it continues to play sold-out crowds. The show had its world premiere at the National Theatre in Washington D.C. in 2017.
