The Pasadena Playhouse is set to bring Alan Menken and Howard Ashman's iconic Little Shop of Horrors to life this fall. They've announced the casting for this production and it will show off some breakout stars of both the stage and screen.
George Salazar (Be More Chill) will portray Seymour. Mj Rodriguez (Pose, Off-Broadway Rent) stars as Audrey, and Glee's Amber Riley will play the role Audrey II.
This production will be directed Mike Donahue, musical direction from Darryl Archibald, choreography by Will B. Bell, scenic design from Dane Laffrey, and costume design from Danae McQueen.
The California engagement is set to open September 25, 2019 and run through October 20th.
A separate Off-Broadway run of the show staring Jonathan Groff is set to begin around the same time at New York's Westside Theatre.
