Beth Malone is heading back to The Muny for the first time since starring in 2017's The Unsinkable Molly Brown. She will return the stage as Matilda's Miss Trunchbull, and she'll be the first female actor to take on the role in the Roald Dahl production.
The Muny's Artistic Director, and Executive producer, Mike Isaacson said;
I am thrilled and honored that Beth is returning to The Muny. She's an extraordinary and generous artist, and I can't wait to see how she and Johnny create this historic Trunchbull.
Malone will be starring in the role from August 5-11th. She replaces Will Swenson, who had to withdraw due to a scheduling conflict.
