Tom Hiddleston is set to make his Broadway debut in Betrayal, Jamie Lloyd’s production of Harold Pinter’s original work. Hiddleston will star alongside Zawe Ashton and Charlie Cox who will also be making their Broadway debuts.
Betrayal will begin preview performances on Wednesday, August 14th and open officially on Thursday, September 5th. This is a limited, 17-week engagement, at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theater on Broadway (242 West 45th Street).
“Watching this remarkable cast bring new life to Harold Pinter’s greatest work has been one of the most gratifying and exciting experiences of my life in the theater. I am thrilled that American audiences will have the chance to witness their stunning performances”, said Jamie Lloyd.
Tom Hiddleston is at the center of this smash-hit, London production. Betrayal tells the story of a complex seven-year romance, told in reverse chronological order. The intricacies of human emotion are at the center of “the greatest, and the most moving, of all Pinter’s plays,” as The Telegraph reports.
