Jeckyll & Hyde musical is set to be adapted into a film written by Birdman screenwriter Alexander Dinelaris.
Jekyll & Hyde opened on Broadway in 1997, with a book and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse and music by Frank Wildhorn. It had a Broadway revival in 2013. Dinelaris is set to produce the movie adaptation under his company Lexicon. This marks the first production for Lexicon as it aims to produce works in film, television, and on stage.
“After 30 years of our stage productions playing successfully in almost every major country in the world, we are absolutely thrilled to see our musical version of ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ becoming a major motion picture,” Bricusse and Wildhorn said in the press release.
