Symphony Space will pay tribute to Judy Garland on the 50th anniversary of her passing on June 22, 1969, at the age of 47. On April 29, Project Broadway: The Judy Garland Songbook will feature performances from some of Broadway's leading ladies, Kate Baldwin (Hello, Dolly!), Laura Osnes (Cinderella), and Carolee Carmello (Parade), as well as Robyn Hurder (Moulin Rouge!), Jessica Vosk (Wicked), Rema Webb (The Color Purple), and Betsy Wolfe (Waitress).
Her legendary songs, including “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “The Trolley Song,” “Come Rain or Come Shine,” “The Man That Got Away,” and more will be performed. Fred Lassen is set to direct the show.
