'Kinky Boots' Inducted Into Smithsonian's American History Museum

Can we scream YEAH!? This calls for a celebration! Kinky Boots has been inducted into the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History.

The winner of six 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Kinky Boots features a Tony Award-winning score by Cyndi Lauper, a book by Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein and direction and choreography by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, according to Broadway World.

Kinky Boots tells the uplifting and heartwarming tale of Charlie Price, a young man reluctantly taking over his family's struggling shoe factory and looking for a fresh idea.

The show closes Sunday April 7, 2019, and will become the 25th longest playing production in Broadway history. Check out the pictures from the night:
