'Magic Mike The Musical' To Premiere In Boston Before Heading To Broadway

It's raining men, hallelujah!

Producers Channing Tatum, Steven Soderbergh, Gregory Jacobs, Nick Wechsler, Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan announced today that Magic Mike The Musical will premiere at Boston’s newly refurbished Emerson Colonial Theatre this fall prior to a Broadway engagement!

Magic Mike The Musical features direction by Trip Cullman (Choir Boy), a book by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (“Riverdale”), an original score by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winners Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey (Next to Normal), and electrifying choreography by Camille A. Brown (Once On This Island).

According to Playbill, the story will not retell the plots already told in the Magic Mike cinematic universe, but will instead offer a backstory on Mike Lane, the college student-turned-stripper.

Casting to be announced at a later date. Tickets to see Magic Mike The Musical are on sale NOW! You can see the production in Boston from November 30, 2019 to January 5, 2020. What are you waiting for? I mean, isn't this why we LOVE live theater?
