See In The Heights at New York City Center.
Feel the heat and heartbeat of In the Heights, the smash hit that introduced audiences to the artistry and charisma of Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes. This Tony-winning musical gets you dancing in your seat with its game-changing blend of Latin rhythms, hip-hop, and traditional Broadway sounds.
This beloved musical brings Washington Heights to the stage during the span of three hot July days. Matte Martinez (MJ The Musical) plays Usnavi, an idealistic bodega owner who fuels the block with his coffee, and Tony winner Natalie Venetia Belcon (Buena Vista Social Club) plays his Abuela Claudia, who reminds everyone to hold on to “Paciencia y Fe.” Linedy Genao (Bad Cinderella) plays Daniela, who runs the neighborhood salon and employs Usnavi’s crush, Vanessa, played by Ashley De La Rosa (Buena Vista Social Club). Together, this vibrant, multigenerational community navigates the meaning of home in a rapidly changing neighborhood while celebrating their community with enough energy to light up the George Washington Bridge.
Directed by David Mendizábal (Mexodus), this genuine New York City story brings the block to life for audiences of every generation. Bursting with unforgettable music, electrifying choreography, and a story that pulses with humor and heart, In the Heights is a jubilant celebration of Latine culture, community, and the courage to dream.
