Rob Ashford & Paris Fitzpatrick Talk 'Quadrophenia, A Rock Ballet'

Director Rob Ashford and rising dance star Paris Fitzpatrick visited iHeartRadio Broadway this week to give fans an inside look at the electrifying Quadrophenia, A Rock Ballet, coming to New York City Center November 14–16, 2025. The production marks the U.S. debut of the critically acclaimed dance adaptation of Pete Townshend’s legendary 1973 rock album, brought to life by Ashford’s direction and the late Paul Roberts’ choreography.

Ashford, who leads the ballet’s explosive staging, spoke about the thrill of merging theatrical storytelling with the raw edge of rock. Fitzpatrick, who stars as ‘Jimmy,’ shared insights into embodying the troubled mod at the center of Townshend’s iconic narrative, a role that earned him the 2024 National Dance Award for Outstanding Male Modern Performance in the U.K.
